Intel announce super-cool fashion collaborations to design REAL wearable tech

It’s only the 7th of January but it seems the term ‘wearable tech’ is the one to watch for 2014 – but we already knew that, didn’t we. Yesterday the computer processing giant, Intel announced a collaboration with fashion hard-hitters, CFDA, Barneys and Opening Ceremony. All of which are seen to be incredible influential within their target audience.


Intel technology want to make tech pieces by creatives rather than solely engineers, which could solve the ugly issue wearable tech currently faces. The 4 high-profile collabs will initially begin with an Opening Ceremony smart bracelet. Announcing the partnerships, Intel CEO Brian Krzanich showed off wearable computing devices at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas on Monday. “We’re looking at a broad ecosystem of wearables, not just the device or the silicon,” they will “explore and bring to market smart wearable technology, and increase dialogue and cooperation between the fashion and technology…
