Whether a consumer is shopping offline or online; she is looking for the best bargain. One of the reasons that online shopping has caught on in the metros and tier two cities alike is because of the deals that the e-tailers are able to offer them. Now consumers are constantly on the search for the best deals, and do prefer websites/ apps that give them the opportunity to pick up products at a discount. Tracking this trend, this week two players in the digital space – Paytm, and CouponCode – have launched applications that is expected to give a fillip to m-commerce and e-commerce.
What drove the two companies to launch the app and the couponing website is customer insight that Indian buyers are always ready to bargain to get the best deal, always looking for ways to pay a little less than the other guy for the same product.
